Key?!

Every morning I would take my dog for a walk through the old park outside of town. One day as we walked through the frosty park I noticed a small shimmer of light on the icy ground. First I thought it was just the sun reflecting its light on the frost but as we got closer the light grew brighter. I knelt down to see what it really it was. “A key!?” I yelled, confused. What's this key doing way out here? I thought. “This park has been deserted for years, I wonder who left it here???

The cup song.

Have you watched the movie "Pitch perfect"? If you haven't then you should totally watch it. Anyway I watched it not so long ago. And since then I was addicted to the cup song.

Beca one of the lead actors in the film made up the "cup song." Now if you look on youtube there are a lot of people that love her song. Most of them even made there own versions of the song or just copied it. Either way I am addicted to the cup song and thought that you might like it too. I hope you do!

Spongebob and Patrick Surfing

Today Miss King told us to do that same writing challenge as yesterday. This time we have to add
action and detail to the Spongebob Squarepants Surf Short #1. Again, Hope you like my story...

One beautiful sunny day down in the deep blue sea, Spongebob and his best friend Patrick, were down at the beautiful Goo lagoon. They were working on their surfing skills.
“WooooW!” Sponge bob screamed as he was tumbled over by the huge waves. Patrick shook his head in disappointment “Oooo.” Light bulb/ Idea! Patrick thought.
Jumping on to his surfboard, he grabbed a bottle of glue from his back pocket and yelled “Apply the sauce!” and he stuck his feet firmly to his board. Once in the water, Patrick entered a huge wave. “I will not be separated from this surfboard” He told himself.
At the end of the barrel there was a big, sharp rock! Spotting the rock, Patrick panicked “Rock! Separate! Separate!” he screamed in horror. SPLIT! He separated from his skeleton! The skeleton landed on the soft white sand as his skin floated into shore. “I like your sandals,” marveled Patrick’s skeleton. Patrick’s flat skin with the piece of the surfboard still stuck on each foot replied “Thanks we’re inseparable.”

Dory and Marlin - Just Keep Swimming

Today Miss King gave us a writing challenge. We had to write about Finding Nemo. The challenge is to add action and detail to the speech. Which is when Dory singing Just Keep swimming. Hope you like my story...
Down in the deep blue sea at the edge of a sea cliff, depressed Marlin lay on a rock. He was worried about his son Nemo who had been caught by divers. Swimming up to him, Dory questioned Marlin happily, “Hey Mr Grumpy Gills When life gets you down, you know what you gotta do?” Marlin sadly mumble "I don’t want to know what you gotta do.” “Just keep swimming, just keep swimming, just keep swimming, swimming, swimming What do we do? We swim swim,” Dory sang cheerfully, while pulling Marlin by the fin down the sea cliff. Marlin whispered, “Dory, No singing.” Dory just ignored him and just kept singing “I love to swim. When you want to swim.” Suddenly, “See I'm gonna get stuck now with that song now it’s in my head!” Marlin yelled in anger! Dory stopped singing immediately. “Sorry.” she replied.

Wacky Surfing Dog! (story)

“Good morning (woof woof!)” I barked at my master. I am a dog and my name is Rockie. “Hey buddie.” My master replied getting up from bed. “Woof” I barked. “Lets have some breakfast.” He said. So we went down stairs. As a dog you may know we like to howl at the mailman and get the mail, I do that every morning. As I eat my breakfast my master reads the newspaper.

“Hey Rockie, do you want to join the wacky dog SURFING competition this year?!” my master asked me. “Woof! (NO!) ” I answered him. But he doesn't understand! So he believed what he wanted, which is “yes please!” but I said the total opposite. Our entry was the last one to be accepted because the competition was on the next day! So I had no time to practice, I have never surfed my entire life! I was terrified! “Don’t worry Rockie, It’s just like skateboarding and swimming but combined!” my master said in confidence. Knowing that I felt a bit better because I know how to skateboard, not to brag I’m pretty good at it and I LOVE swimming!

The next day, I was in my safety gear and my wacky lion costume ready to surf! I decided to wear my lion costume to the competition, after all it is a WACKY dog surfing competition. Getting to the beach where the big surfing competition was held, I was still terrified. I saw a lot of other dogs of all shape and sizes and all sorts of WACKY costumes. I guess it’s not just me wearing a WACKY/stupid costume, I thought. We got to the starting line, my master strapped me onto the the board, “You can do this, just try not to fall off!” he said. “READY... SET... GO!!!” And off we went. At first I was wobbly but then I remember my skateboarding skills. Suddenly I was balanced and calm, I wanted to stay like that for the rest of the time.

Balancing on my glittering blue, I past all of the other dogs that were in front of me! I thought it was smooth sailing from there but cats was I wrong! It just got harder and harder as the weather got worse. Waves tumbled most of the other dogs behind me. On top of my out balanced board, I gripped on tightly, so not to fall off. There were many rocks poking out of the sea unexpectedly. Carefully passing many obstacles the sea has given me, I saw my saviour from all this madness, the finish line! “You can do this, fight FIGHT!” I motivated myself. In the end I was floating past the finish line. I was #1!!! “You did it Rockie; you're the winner!” Yelled my master. “WOOF WOOF WOOF!!!!!!” I howled proudly. THE END
